Joe Biden Ensures Supply Of Criticals COVID Medicines & Raw Material To India

New Delhi, 27 April 2021 – There has been a big development that is going to go ahead and allow for several raw materials for the vaccine from the United States to get transported to India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a 45-minute telephone conversation today with his counterpart Joseph Biden, who’s the president of the United States of America. The two leaders discussed the COVID-19 situation.
In India, especially that is the worst in the entire nation at this point of time and India’s ongoing efforts to contain the second wave of the pandemic through expedited vaccine efforts, ensuring supply of critical medicines, therapeutics and healthcare equipment that Joe Biden has now gone ahead and ensured India by way of that important phone call that took place between him and his counterpart in India Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Now, this comes in wake of the conversation and a telephonic one that, that had been held between the national security advisors of India Ajit Doval and his counterpart, Jake Solomon in the United States where the United States yet again showcased and announced its solidarity with India in its time of need.

But there has been quite the crisis and controversy that the Biden administration and the President himself have quoted after the United States refused to go ahead and allow for those special medical supplies and embargo that had been put forth by the United States on the vaccine raw materials to be lifted, as had been demanded by the Serum Institute of India had Adar Poonawalla and the health authorities and the Foreign Ministry of India.
Quiet the U-turn that we are witnessing from the United States and the Biden administration when it comes to the allocation and export of the raw material that is required and essential medical supplies that India desperately needs. And the helping hand coming in from the likes of Russia and China.
When there are human disasters, human humanitarian emergency of this proportion, the reactions take some time to develop a response that causes a workable response, sustainable response, not just a knee jerk reaction, to be able to supply on a long term basis to meet the submitted that deficit takes time.
And therefore, we should not be looking at not saying no. Yes, there was some statement that the priorities are American nationals, naturally. Our priority would be the Indian citizens in the country and the Indian nationals who are living within India would be the priority.
When India was at the top of its game, it was doing better than the United States. We had the vaccines at that point. And even though we have a 135 crore strong nation, we continue to provide help. We continue to allow for that vaccine diplomacy to happen, not just in the developing and underdeveloped nations of the world, but even to the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, and other parts of the developed nations because “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam: The World is One Family” is the motto of our country.
And we have never shied away from providing help when needed to our allies, and even to our force. So why is it that the United States had to be nudged the United States had to be reminded of that special gesture that had been put forth by India not very early on back in 2020? With regards to the medical supplies that had been provided to the Biden administration back, that was the Trump administration that was in force.
Even at that time, there were many comments, even from within India, which had remarked that we should develop our priority. First, our people who are in the group of over 60, with comorbidities, etc, should be a priority. There were critical remarks of that time, we had developed our vaccination program and be sent out to the African countries that to our neighboring countries, as a part of our Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam program. In terms of whatever supplies we had.
And once our supplies began to fall short, we began to reassess about our own needs, and what we could supply. We do try and accommodate other requirements. But even our priorities were our nationals our own country. Therefore, all I’m saying here is that we need to give time for these responses to be developed. And to say that they had to be nudged into providing support, I think it’s a bit excessive we should have two of our emergencies developed last week.
Till that time, even our internal assessment had not granted for this kind of a catastrophic proportion. We continued with our election rallies with our own etc religious function. It’s only last week that we came to realize the enormity of the catastrophic. Began to think about developing our responses. Therefore, we need to be reasonable and mature in our assessment. Instead of relationship, the responses take time, they don’t have like a magic band.
There was some report China actually might, therefore we need to assess who our friends are and who will be with us at this time. And the USA, UK, Germany, they have proved that they are with us at this time.
