According to Wikipedia, the story of this movie starts with God (played by Benoît Poelvoorde), who shares a Brussels apartment with his meek wife and his 10-year-old daughter Ea (played by Pili Groyne), whom he emotionally and physically abuses.
Humanity was created by God, a grumpy sadist who intended for it to be a source of suffering. He uses a personal computer to manipulate the real world, which he denies his family access to. Ea sneaks into his office one day and finds out how he has been abusing people. God is furious about this, so he whips Ea with his belt.
Ea makes the decision to stand up to her father. She gets the key to His office, steals it, and then uses their mobile phones to get the scheduled dates of death for every person in the world. A text message letting everyone know exactly when they will die is sent to everyone who has a cell phone. After that, Ea locks God’s computer and uses a washing machine as a tunnel to leave the apartment and reach the outside world. Ea makes the decision to write a brand-new Bible like her brother Jesus and make a contribution to humanity as she wanders the streets of Brussels.
She chooses six apostles to tell their stories about their lives. Since she can’t write well, she first hires Victor, a homeless man, to be her scribe.
