Starting struggling at a very young age he first started learning about music and musical instruments and started writing raps.
His first recording session was done with Bongani Fassie. Bongani Fassie remained a true inspiration for him throughout his life. Fassie has inspired Riky to compose his own music. He then releases his first single song “Barbershop” collaborating with South African rapper Da L.E.S.

This devastating news has been confirmed by his family members they wrote “Son, husband, father, brother and uncle, Riky ‘Ricky’ Makhado (34) sadly passed away in the early hours of this morning (23rd February) in Johannesburg,”
