Popular IAS officer Renu Raj has a background in Changanassery, Kerala. India. She was born here in 1989 and now passing her 34th year of age while serving at Alappuzha as Collector these days.

Renu had done her schooling at St. Teresa’s Higher Secondary School in Changanassery (Kottayam.) Then getting her schooling certificates she decided to get a degree in medicine. After completing her studies at Government Medical College at Kottayam Renu Raj IAS started pursuing her medical career.

But later she realized that she needs to do something else in her life and found working at the IAS officer post more energetic than being a doctor. It was Renu Raj’s childhood dream to work as an IAS officer for her country. Then in the year 2014, she sat in the IAS exam and got succeeded in her first attempt and made headlines as she got 2nd rank in it.

While working as a Doctor and Surgeon at ASI Hospital In Kalluvathukkaal, Kollam she found that she should prepare for the IAS examination. Her realization to do something for the common man of India and make the country better has helped her to become IAS.

Renu Raj then started balancing her Doctor duties along with preparing for IAS exams. In the beginning, she used to study 3-6 hours a day in preparation for the UPSC exam in 2013. But later when her entrance exams date was coming close she decided to give her full time to IAS studies and then appeared for Main Exam with full preparation.

While preparing she uses to sleep only 7 hours a day and followed a strict timetable. Renu Raj IAS took her IAS coaching for the Initial examination and for a few topics only. She added an optional subject Malayan Literature.

While increasing her knowledge of current affairs she uses to read Newspapers like ‘The Hindu’, Yojana, and Kurukshetra magazines. She also practiced by doing mock exams practice. Renu made herself more perfect and also practiced answer writing.

Till the age of 27, Renu Raj served as a doctor and surgeon. Renu was first appointed as a Sub-collector at Thrissur.

Earlier in 2019, she faced political pressure when stood against the legislator S. Rajendram. Renu held her against encroachments and illegal construction in Munnar. At that time she was working as a sub-collector in Devikulum. She then submitted a report to Kerala High Court after she got the support of ministers like E. Chandrasekharan. Currently, she is serving as  District Collector, Alappuzha.

The news that is recently breaking in the media is related to the IAS officer Renu Raj’s marriage. Renu who cracked the IAS exam in 2014 and got 2nd rank is now again trending in media after 7 years due to her marriage with another IAS officer.

Mr. Sriram Venkitaraman will get married to Renu Raj officially on 28th April in Ernakulam. Currently, Sriraam has been serving as a Medical Services Corporation Managing Director. Previously Sriram remained a part of the news when he raised actions against the perpetrators. Earlier he lost his career and job when his name got involved in the murder of journalist KM Basheer in a car accident. He got suspended from his duties due to a murder case. He returned to his duties after spending a long suspension period.

Now Sriram is all set to start his other chapter of life with his love Renu Raj IAS as they will get married on 28th April 2022. Their wedding will be organized as a private ceremony and only close family members will attend it.
