Minecraft 1.20 Video Game: Overview
So we do know that on October the 15th. We will get a Mub vote where we get to choose between 3 new jobs to be added to Minecraft. We do not know any of them at this current moment. But we also know that on this date, October the 15th. From Saturday, we will find out the theme and name and hopefully the release date of Minecraft 1.20. Which is very exciting. So it’s fun I’m recording this.
It is only about a month and a half away when I record this. So it’s quite a while it’s not right over the horizon. But it is still like very close, it’s not too far at all. And there is not much longer to wait. Now, this does also confirm something very very unfortunate for Minecraft 1.20. And that is most likely This update will not be released this year, there was a lot of speculation that what, not 20 would be released in 2022.
Unfortunately though, because we know Minecraft live is going to be on October the 15th. Which is nearly at the very end of the year. This does mean that the team would only have about two months of development time if they wanted to get this update out this year. So, unfortunately, this date for Minecraft live does confirm that sadly. Most likely 1.20 will be released in 2023. At the very earliest. If we look at all Minecraft’s previous updates and what went on with them. We could assume and speculate at this current moment in time that 1.20 will be released in summer 2023. But of course, it does depend on the size of the update and what Mojang intends to do with it.

And I think that Mojang did kind of accidentally leak this. And that is that Minecraft 1.20 will be a dimension of day 2 and will add a fourth dimension to Minecraft. As we all know at the moment we’ve got the overworld the nether and the end. But with the wild of day 1.19, Mojang did add something very serious, to say the least. Which is a mysterious portal which sits at the very center of the deep dark just in case you’re thinking this is not a portal there are quite a few leaks that back this up. And there’s also quite a bit of information in the game.
Firstly there is the fact that this block is made out of a very weird block called a reinforced deep slate. Which is harder to mine than obsidian. If that does not prove this as a portal. Then I think it’s a bit crazy. But long story short. This portal is made out of a cube of reinforced deep slate. And if you construct the music desk for the day dark it does play sound effects of a portal being opened.
I think Mojang can put a lot of teasers out there to tease that this is a portal and it will function like this. And it will create a portal when it is ignited. There’s a lot of speculation about what will be in this update and things like that. But there are also a few other unanswered questions. And that is, will this fix bedrock edition if you’ve like not been on the channel for quite a while you may not know some of the issues with bedrock edition, but right now there are so many problems with bedrock. And there are so many issues. Number 1 is parity.
There are so many things missing from bedrock, including dual-wielding, Baima shields, and banner markers. And there are also other issues with the game including ray tracing and things like that. So a lot of people have been asking me on this channel. Especially will 1.20 fix these issues with bedrock edition and Mojang did, unfortunately, leak this they did leak a bit of information at the start of this year.
I want to show you all this tweet of obviously someone who did get to play with RTX on bedrock condition early. This does confirm that Mojang was playing around with this. And they were trialing it and seeing what’s going on and things like that they were pretty much testing it. And then later on they did confirm that they accidentally added it to the game. So I would say if you’re a bedrock player it is a very good time to be a bedrock player. Because I think that the team has shown that they’re committed. and I do think that this does mean that you better our players will be getting all of the features you’ve been hoping for and holding out for so long.
