Kristine Hermosa was born on September 9, 1983 (age: 40 years, as of 2023), in Quezon City, Philippines. Her birth name is Anne Kirsten Esmeralde Hermosa Orille, but she is professionally known by her mother’s maiden name, Hermosa. She is the second child of Maximillian Orille and Maria Alma Hermosa-Orille. She has three siblings: Kathleen, Joshua, and Maxine. Her sister, Kathleen, is also an actress who introduced her to the showbiz industry.

Kristine showed interest in entertainment at an early age. She was among the nine young talents who were selected by Star Magic, the talent management arm of ABS-CBN, to be mentored in Star Circle Batch 4.
