After winning Star Search Malaysia in 1984, Ibnor Riza signed a contract with Sony Music Entertainment Malaysia (formerly CBS Records), which became one of the leading music labels in the country at that time. He released his debut album “Meneka Dalam Kesamaran” in 1987 under the label’s subsidiary CBS Records International (CBI).
