Gerald Bantag (born 7th April b/w 1977-1972, age: 45-50 years) is the former Director General of the Bureau of Corrections in the Philippines. He is also introduced as the former director of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in MIMAROPA.

In 2022 he was searched high by the people of the Philippines because he was brought down from his position as director general of the Bureau of Correction after his name was added to the list of 160 people who were interested in Percy Lapid’s killing.

It was the year 2014, Gerald got involved in the case of illegally using his 9mm pistol by firing at the restaurant wall and failing to pay the restaurant bill. Before 2007 Gerald Bantag remained faced charges of murder in Caloocan City. In 2007 when he was the Warden of the Navotas City Jail he tried to kill a teenager who took shelter due to heavy rain behind the Caloocan city prison.
In 2016 Gerald got involved in serious controversy when he was serving in Paranaque City Jail as a warden. A blast occurred inside the jail in which 10 inmates got killed. After the investigation, it was found that due to the negligence of Gerald and his men blast occurred inside the jail. After one year he was charged with 10 counts of murder.
