The Aspiring Olympian Brittany George died on 27th January 2022 and she was suffering from mental issues. All these she has shared in her podcast in which she appeared three months before her death.
She shared that her back injury forced her to get retire from her Australian Aerial Ski team. She has shared that she ended her dream of competing at the Beijing Winter Olympics this year after she got a critical injury in her back.
It has literally been my whole life, I’ve been “the athlete” from when I was two until when I was 20 or 21,’ she told the Couching the Mind podcast in October. I did not have an identity. I was labeled the athlete from a very young age and just rode with it. My schoolwork went second-hand, everything went second-hand to sport.”

‘In America, to be a football star in college you need to maintain a grade to stay on the team,’ she said. I think that’s fantastic because then you have a back-up if you don’t go pro… all I knew was 12 hours a day living [with athletes] for 10 months a year. All I knew was the four people around me and the staff. I wasn’t a person – I was an athlete.’
