Arshin Kulkarni was born on February 15, 2005, into a family of doctors in Solapur, Maharashtra. His father, Dr. Atul Kulkarni, is a pediatrician, while his mother and sister are also doctors. His grandfather was a pace bowler himself, who encouraged him to take up fast bowling.
Arshin was good at academics as well as cricket, but his father wanted him to pursue his passion for the game. He convinced his school, St. Joseph School in Solapur, to allow him three days’ leave a week so that he could train in Pune, where he lived with his maternal grandmother. Arshin Kulkarni started as a leg-spinner who could bat, but soon switched to medium pace on the advice of his coaches.
