Training and Posting
Akun Sabharwal joined the IPS in 2001 and was allotted the Telangana cadre. He underwent rigorous training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad and the Kamrup district of Assam. He also participated in anti-extremist operations in the Sadiya and Charaido sub-divisions in upper Assam, where he faced many challenges and dangers.
