Agnes Tager began her teaching career in 1959 at St. Andrew’s Primary School, Evwreni, where she taught for two years. She then moved to St. Theresa’s College, Ughelli, where she taught English Language and Literature for 16 years. She was also the vice principal of the school from 1972 to 1975. She transferred to Government College, Ughelli, in 1975, where she taught English Language and Literature until her retirement in 1992.
