Agnes Tager began her teaching career in 1959 at St. Andrew’s Primary School, Evwreni, where she taught for two years. Agnes Tager died on September 3, 2023, at the Navy Hospital, Effurun, Delta State, after a brief illness. She was 86 years old. Her death was announced by her family in a statement signed by Clement Tager Otuavwori and Pastor Lucky Ikpokpo. Her funeral service was held on November 24, 2023, at the Eni Grammar School, Evwreni, followed by interment at her compound and entertainment of guests.
