West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee’s Nandigram Attack Report Update

On March 12, 2021, a new update came in that Bengal’s Chief Secretary Gautam Sanyal has submitted his report to the Election Commission on the Nandigram incident which led to Mamata Banerjee’s injury. The report states that the injury was caused by the vehicle door slamming against Mamata Banerjee’s leg.
The report does also mention that there was a massive crowd gathered on the road. But it does not clearly mention what led to the door closing on Mamata Banerjee’s left leg. The report also does not clearly state whether people deliberately shut the door on Mamata Banerjee’s foot.
However, it does mention the presence of an iron pole near the automobile but does not state whether the door closed on account of the car or the jeep brushing against the pole. Election Commission officials are currently discussing this report with the Bengal administration via video conferencing.
