TMC Complaint EC to remove Suvendu Adhikari’s Name from Electoral Rolls in Nandigram

The Trinamool Congress has written to the election commission seeking to strike off Suvendu Adhikari’s name from the electoral roll in Nandigram. TLC claims that Suvendu has not resided in the area for the last six months and the TMC has also sought enunciation of criminal proceedings against Suvendu Adhikari for furnishing false particulars.
The TMC claim that Adhikari is not a permanent resident of the area. So the Trinamool now writing to the electoral registration officer saying Suvendu Adhikari’s name needs to be deleted from the electoral rolls of Nandigram.
Recently Suvendu Adhikari has announced that he has shifted his name to the electoral rolls in Nandigram because that is where he’s contesting from. He had said that he would be casting his vote, his friend exercising his franchise from Nandigram itself.

But the TMC has written to the election commission today. Suvendu has not been staying there for the past six months, neither is he a permanent resident of that area. So why is it that his name should not be deleted from the rolls there? So, therefore, in this background, TMC has asked for criminal proceedings under Section 31 of the RP act should be initiated against Suvendu Adhikari.
So that’s in demand that the Trinamool Congress has now made to the Election Commission. Suvendu Adhikari’s house Shanti Kunj, that’s in Contai City in West Bengal. And he’s also at times seen staying in Haldia, There is no way that Suvendu Adhikari lives in Nandigram, and therefore the Trinamool raking the matter up just before the first phase of the Bengal elections.
