This meeting has derived a certain amount of political element, which certain Chief Ministers not participating. Mamata Banerjee is busy with campaigning and the meeting was announced just a few days ago. The fact remains that there are three few main concerns of the government and that is one there is a surge.
A surge in which the percentage rise since within last one week has been 40% as well as many cases reported, the total cases are going up. And importantly, there are the states like Maharashtra that are leading this Corona surge. And any kind of greater restrictions will impact the economy and the revival system. Also, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is worried about the lethargic response as far as vaccinations are concerned.
