EC Banned Central Forces Not To Ask Voters For ID Cards After TMC Complaint

Acting on TMC’s complaint EC directs central forces to not ask voters for identity cards and respond to the several complaints raised by the TMC party. In the first two phases over trouble faced by the common man due to Central forces harassing them, when they go to cast their votes.
The EC directed nodal officer for Bengal AK Singh and ADG for the state law for Jagmohan to instruct central forces inside the polling booth not to ask for voter ID cards or other identity documents from the voters. Senior officers have been informed that checking identity documents or photos were the work of the polling personnel, not the central forces.
Alright, that’s the latest as far as the big oil poles are concerned after TMC raised objections to the central forces asking for identity cards from the voters. While they had gone to cast their votes. He has now instructed that should not be done. The central forces can not ask for identity cards from the voters. That is the work of the election personnel of the EC personnel and the poll workers and polling agents and it’s not something that the central forces should be allowed to do.
Well, we’ve seen TMC and BJP knock on the doors of the EC several times in this election. Yesterday we saw a TMC delegation met with EC and after that, shortly after that the BJP delegation also met with the Election Commission. A day after polling of the second phase of Bengal both these parties met the Election Commission.
TMC delegation of course has filed around 300 complaints with EC that were given to understand against the BJP supporters for threatening and intimidating voters and the latest is that the EC has now taken a decision. The EC has said the central forces cannot ask voters for their identity cards it is just the polling agents. It is just the election personnel who can do so.
