Donald Trump has Filed a Lawsuit against the January 6 Committee

Former American President Donald Trump is suing the January 6 committee in an attempt to block a subpoena that requires him to testify. The House committee is investigating the 2020 attack on the US Capital. Trump’s attorney has argued that long-held precedents and practices and the principle of separation of powers.
Prohibited Congress from compelling a president to testify before it. His legal team has said that Trump engaged with the committee in good faith to try and resolve the concerns that are consistent with the executive branch prerogatives.
However, the panel insisted on pursuing a political path. Trump’s attorney has said that former President Trump had no choice but to involve the third branch and that is the judiciary.
The committee has voted to subpoena Trump during its final hearing before the midterm elections. It formally did so last month demanding testimony from the former president.
The committee members also alleged that Trump personally had orchestrated the multiport effort to overturn the results of the 2020 elections. The committee also said that Trump has to testify either at the Capitol or by videoconference.
The beginning on or about the 14th of November and continuing for multiple days if necessary. The lawsuit of course comes as Trump is expected to launch a third campaign for the presidential bid sometime next week.
