Big news came in the evening of March 15, 2021, that TMC MLA actor and politician Debashree Roy has now resigned from the party after she was denied a poll ticket. This incident happened just ahead of the elections. Debashree Roy has been at Bengali film actress tuned Trinamool Congress, MLA who was won twice from Raidighi constituency of the South 24 Parganas.
She has now officially decided to quit the party. It is certainly a massive setback coming in for the TMC. She is learnt to have sent her letter of resignation to the party’s General Secretary as well. Meanwhile, the Trinamool Congress responds to this and still unknown, but certainly a massive setback of a two time MLA.
This time, Debashree Roy who has been a Bengali film actor, turned politician of the TMC who had won twice from a constituency of the South 24 Parganas has split the party officially today on March 15, 2021.
It is certainly a big blow once again, coming in for the TMZ right ahead of the elections this time. This is because ever since that the BJP has accelerated the gears with the campaign, the leaders from the TMC at every level from the state level ministers to the municipality level has been deflecting from the party and joining the BJP bandwagon. On 27 March 2021, the elections will take place in West Bengal.
