Las Vegas Suspect Yoni Barrios – More senseless violence along that Las Vegas Strip anxiety and questions hanging over the Las Vegas strip this afternoon one day after that deadly stabbing rampage that left two people dead and another six wounded.
News Unzip has learned that the suspect Yoni Barrios is undocumented and has a criminal record in California. Police say the suspect came here just a couple of days ago here to Las Vegas from California. And after that deadly attack, he reportedly told police that he thought people were laughing at him and making fun of him here on the strip.
And you can see the strip is back to normal here this afternoon. But we spoke to a lot of people who say they are truly alarmed by all of this. A deadly stabbing rampage on the Las Vegas Strip.

Cellphone video shows the chaos as first responders treat victims near the Wynn Hotel and Casino Thursday. Destroyed family members identifying one of the victims who passed away as 30-year-old Maris Digiovanni on social media. 47-year-old Brent Hallett also did not survive the attack. And one day after the horrific crime, tourists are still shaken.

Obviously, it’s a tragedy. You never want to see something like this happen especially when people come to Las Vegas for a vacation a good time to relax and have fun. It was jarring to see it in the news.
Police say 32-year-old Yoni Barrios, armed with a large kitchen knife started stabbing people and an unprovoked attack. A police report says Barrios came to Vegas from California and ended up at the strip after a friend wouldn’t let him move in.
Yoni Barrios reportedly asked a Janitor at the Wynn hotel about a job and told the janitor to contact ice for him so he could return to Guatemala. After leaving the hotel. Barrios reportedly told a group of showgirls he was a chef. And when one of the girls backed away, he allegedly charged at them scaring everyone around like Natasha Rutherford (Witness, Atlanta Tourist).
The Vegas Strip is a popular destination, especially for people coming from the Los Angeles area like Caesar and his family caught in the middle of the turmoil.
Caesar comes to Vegas often, but this time feels different.
You know, I think after the pandemic, things have gotten out of control here in Vegas.”
The six survivors of the stabbing were hospitalized, some in critical condition, and the suspect Yoni Barrios is in custody. As the families grieve.
