He was fishing on Lake of the Ozarks when he suffered a heart attack and fell into the water. His fishing partner, who was also his brother-in-law, tried to rescue him but could not revive him. He caught a five-bass limit weighing 19 pounds, 14 ounces, and earned $4,720. He also qualified for the Phoenix Bass Fishing League All-American in 2016, where he finished 22nd.

Mark was a lifelong resident of Kirkwood, Missouri, where he grew up and attended Kirkwood High School. He graduated from the University of Missouri-St. Louis with a degree in business administration. He worked as a sales manager for a roofing company for over 25 years.

Tucker enjoyed spending time with his family, especially on the lake. He also liked hunting, golfing, and watching sports. He was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, the St. Louis Blues, and the Missouri Tigers. He was a member of the Kirkwood Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and a Sunday school teacher.

We extend our heartfelt sympathies to his wife, Lisa, his children, Tyler, Taylor, and Tanner, and his entire family and friends. We pray that they find comfort and peace in this difficult time. Mark will always be remembered and honored by the MLF family.”

A memorial service for Tucker will be held on December 2, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the Kirkwood Baptist Church, followed by a burial at the Oak Hill Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the MLF Foundation, which supports youth fishing programs and conservation efforts.
