The Totapuri movie shows that Ere Gowda (acted by Jaggesh) is a farmer and tailor by profession. The beautiful Muslim girl named Shakeela Banu (played by Aditi Prabhudeva) works in a bank. Their lives revolve around their friends and making amazing memories. Gowda and Banu start loving each other and also respect their religions. It further shows that Gowda often goes to the local mosque and Shakeela Banu plays Veena at the Raghavendra swamy temple.
