The film ‘The Harbour (2022)’ shows the drawbacks of the Chappa system, which was prevailing in the region for many years. The system is also the basis of labor struggle and hard work. Reportedly, Chappa (Metal Tokens) are thrown into the crowds of laborers and whosoever is able to collect the Chappa, will be able to get the work for the day. So, the laborers use to fight with one another to collect the Chappa.
Later, people began protesting this Chappa system and want to get rid of this, Due to the protest, police fired at the laborers, and three workers were killed. Afterward, the two brothers decided to take the stand of laborers and help them in getting out of this situation.

This movie is produced by Jose Thomas along with Sukumar Thekkepat and Anoop Joseph. It is produced under the production companies of Thekkepat Films, Queen Mary Movies, Pauly Jr Pictures, and Collective Phase One. The movie will be distributed by Queen Mary International. Reportedly, the movie was premiered at the 2022 International Film Festival Rotterdam. It will be released on 10 June 2022 after many delays.
