Vetri (acted by Gautham Karthik) is a lawyer by profession but has anger issues. He lives in a joint family with six sisters and brothers-in-law. He was raised by his eldest sister named Pechi (played by Vinodhini Vaidyanathan) and they share the bond of mother-son. He killed a sexual offender and his friend, who is the son of Kodumpavi Ganesan (Madurai’s dreaded gangster).

Later, Ganesan decided to take revenge for his son. Instead of killing Vetri, he killed Pechi and her husband which makes Vetri furious. The further story of the movie shows what happened to Vetri and Ganesan after their anger issues and fights. The movie ‘Devarattam (2019)’ is produced by K. E. Gnanavel Raja. It is produced under the production company of Studio Green. This film also includes a lot of hit songs. The titles of the songs are Madura Palapalakkudhu, Enga Attam, Lesa Lesa, Ulaagam Unna Vittu, Pasampukalli, Azhagaru Vaaraaru, Aaatha Thottille, and Madura Palapalakkudhu (Karaoke). These songs are sung by Deshpande, Niranjana Ramanan, V. M. Mahalingam, Vijay Yesudas, Chinmayi, and many more. The music department is handled by Nivas K. Prasanna. The work of cinematography is done by Sakthi Saravanan.

Additionally, Praveen K. L. handled the editing department. After the completion of filming and production, the makers released the film in the theatres on 1 May 2019.
