Half-Day Lockdown Announced in Punjab, CM Amarinder Singh Urges People To Stay At Home

Ludhiana, 27 April 2021 – A Curfew has also been imposed after Captain Amarinder Singh, the chief minister of Punjab has gone ahead and announced his inability to control the cases of the spiking rate of the virus in his state. Now, there’s information that is pouring in that due to the continuous and rapid rise of the pandemic cases in the state the cabinet has decided to impose daily lockdown from 6 pm to 5 am.

So that’s almost a 12-hour lockdown. That’s an hour less than half a day lockdown and weekend the lockdown has also been announced from Friday 6 pm to Monday 5 am. A model that has been replicated from what was witnessed in Delhi and Maharashtra simultaneously. Punjab a very rapidly following the Delhi and the Maharashtra model.

The half-day lockdown was in Pune. It was then spread across to the rest of the state of Maharashtra as the numbers spike. It then spilled over to the state of Delhi. We have witnessed Karnataka going ahead and showcasing similar symptoms and the Chief Minister over there taking similar precautions of a total lockdown for 14 days.
Punjab going ahead and the following suit. Situation extremely grim in several parts of the country at this point. Have our states learned any lessons it looks like they haven’t? They have been caught sleeping. Even as the cases have been spiking in several other parts of the country. Help out who operates and gives and helps every single one of those individuals. Every single one of those patients who need plasma who need oxygen cylinders who need ICU beds. At this point, every little help is going to go a long way in saving those precious lives in Delhi, in Maharashtra, in Karnataka, in Punjab, and in various other parts of the country.
