Corona Curfew Extended In Srinagar, Lockdown In 4 Jammu & Kashmir District

Srinagar, May 4, 2021 – Corona curfew remains imposed in Srinagar because of rising COVID-19 cases. Essential services are allowed and lockdown is now imposed in 4 districts of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar, Jammu, Baramulla, and Budgam till May 6. This is the latest that we are gathering right now, where only essential services will continue.
Rest all services have been seized, for now, they are not allowed only essential services and people working in the central services sector will be allowed to work will be allowed to be on the road in the public space other than that all people are advised to be in their homes as locked down has been extended till May 6 in four districts of Jammu and Kashmir and only essential services to be allowed.
More than 1000 cases being reported on day to day basis and in Jammu and Kashmir 3500+ cases are being on daily basis. So, this is one of the reasons that Srinagar has been turned into a red zone while the remaining districts are in the orange zone. Also, the authorities are extended the lockdown up to May 6 and there is every probability that the lockdown may be extended further.

Also, the authorities have ordered the closure of all the schools, colleges, and education institutions up to May 31. Also the places like Mosque and Darga they too also, not holding prayer. So, this is a situation on the ground, and as far as the vaccination is concerned that the people are getting registered on Aarogya Setu App and COWIN website and they are being vaccinated at designated places.
Although some of the appointments had to be canceled due to Vaccine shortage at some point. But, these are some random cases where all this situation is still manageable and the authorities are trying their best to control the further spread of COVID.
