Chhattisgarh COVID Vaccination Drive Delayed For 18 to 44 Years Age Group
Raipur, May 6, 2021 – There’s breaking news coming in the vaccination for the age group of 18 to 44 years, has been postponed in Chattisgarh. The High Court has given instructions to the government to make a new policy regarding this vaccination. And the government in the States has constituted a committee of secretaries under the chairmanship of the chief secretary to formulate the policy.
Chattisgarh High Court is called upon the state government to discuss with the secretaries of the concerned departments and fix the ratio of vaccine allegations distribution of the vaccine in the third phase of the vaccination in a uniform fashion.
So what we are understanding is that from 18 to 44 years of age, there has been a halt, a delay that the state government has gone ahead announced. Chattisgarh High Court, in turn, asked the state government to formulate a policy to be announced at a later date as to how it is going to go ahead and vaccinate the age group people belonging to the age group of 18 to 44.
Remember, the drive had already been delayed countrywide. It had to be commenced from the first of May as had been ordered by the central government and the union health ministry, it was delayed by a day. Delhi went ahead and commenced it on the second of May. So did Mumbai and other states and regions.
The major region for this delay had been the paucity of vaccine procurement from the vaccination companies and developers across the country, especially Adar Poonawalla‘s Serum Institute of India, and one located in Hyderabad going ahead and Manufacturing COVAXIN.
