ICSE Board Exams For Classes 10-12 Postponed, New Dates In June First Week

Now following the Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE’s decision to cancel and postpone the classes 10 and class 12 exams respectively. The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (ICSE) has now decided to postpone the ICSE class 10 exams and the ISC class 12 exams. The latest information that we have coming in from the ICSE is that is decided to defer for the class 10 and the class 12 board examination.
So the ICSE class 10. And the ISC class 12 exam, which was scheduled to be held from the fourth of May, has been deferred. This of course, in the light of the rising COVID cases. This announcement that I was expected, it was only a matter of time, and under the CBSE has canceled class exams and before the exam. What we know, however, is that both the class 10 and 12. Right now the exams have only been deferred, the ICSE has said that they’re going to be taking a call by the first week of June, and basis a COVID situation in the first week of June a future course of action will be determined.

For the upper class 12 students, these exams will be conducted at a later date. But as far as class 10 students are concerned what the ICSE saying is that they will be given two options, one to write an offline exam along with the classwork candidates whenever that later date is certain and the second option is to not write the offline exam. Now if a student chooses not to write the exam if a class 10 student chooses not to write the exam, then the ICSE says that they will be developing criteria for preparing the results for such candidates. So some sort of an internal assessment will be devised. What that criterion is going to be is not known at the moment.
