Kitty Gets Expelled from KISS
One of the biggest shocks in the season finale of XO, Kitty is that Kitty gets expelled from KISS (Korea International School Seoul) for breaking one of the rules of her scholarship: staying in the boys’ dormitory. Kitty had been living with her friend Q and his roommate Min Ho, who also happens to be one of her crushes.
When a teacher catches her checking her grades on the wall of the boys’ dorm, she is sent to the principal’s office, where she learns that she has to leave the school and Korea for good. Kitty Learns the Truth About Her Mother and Jina
Another major mystery that Kitty tries to solve throughout the season is why her mother Eve and Jina Lim, the principal of KISS, stopped being friends. Kitty finds out that Eve and Jina were best friends when they attended KISS in the early 1990s, but something happened that made them lose touch. Kitty and Yuri, who become friends after realizing that their mothers were also friends, speculate about different scenarios that could have caused the rift between Eve and Jina.
However, the truth is much simpler and sadder than they imagined. Jina reveals to Kitty that Eve wrote her a letter after she moved back to America, but Jina never replied to it. Kitty Leaves Dae Her Mother’s Necklace
One of the most symbolic gestures that Kitty makes in the season finale of XO, Kitty is leaving Dae her mother’s necklace, which she had given him as a gift earlier in the season.
