Story & Plot
A group of adolescent boys from a Catholic school is shown getting ready to start their 11th year in the film, which had its premiere sometime in the 1990s. Chinese, Naushad, Richard, Durai, Francis, Vinoth, and Surender are among the group of friends. On the day that their school books are collected, they all check the list of new admissions for any new girls who are enrolled in the Commerce stream. They are greeted by two girls from the same school named Rekha and Anu.
As they leave, Rekha looks over and waves to Vinoth. It is demonstrated that Vinoth and Rekha have been together for three years, but only a few of their friends are aware of it. Listening to songs by A. R. Rahman on a walkman is one of their favorite dating activities as well as a common interest. Rekha is so supportive of Vinoth’s goal of becoming a music director that she even gives him a guitar for his birthday. On the same day, a new student by the name of Victoria enrolls in the Commerce stream and immediately falls in love with Vinoth.
Even though all of Vinoth’s friends think she might be interested in him, he doesn’t think so. Rekha is in the Science stream, away from the boys, while her best friend Anu is in the Commerce stream with the boys.
