Storyline & Plot
According to the Times of India, the story of this movie shows the life of a young man. Arun (played by Udhayanidhi Stalin) and his new roommate Somu (played by Prasanna) accidentally get caught in the middle of a murder. A series of occurrences initiate larger revelations, analogous to a stacked domino falling down. Now and again we miss common decency right in front of us and at times there’s something else to it besides what might be expected, and that is presumably the thought behind the appropriately named Kannai Nambathey.
The film stars Arun a working professional looking for a rental property in Chennai. He is forced to spend a few days with a stranger named Somu (Prasanna), who is about to leave the house Arun came looking for. As they choose to praise their most memorable day with drinks, Arun coincidentally finds a lady (Bhumika Chawla) out and about who seems a piece tense. She asks Arun to drop her off at her house because it’s hard for her to even drive her car.
Arun follows suit and returns home. He tells all of the stories to his friends, including Somu, who is drunk. Arun finds out the following day that the woman he met last night has passed away and that her body has been kept in the same car. Arun’s life is made more difficult by this circumstance because he is still unsure who would have killed her.
