Recap of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 18

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 18, titled “Right and Wrong”, was a tragic and emotional episode that showed the consequences of the Shibuya Incident. The episode began with Yuji regaining control of his body, only to witness the damage caused by Sukuna’s merciless rampage. He saw the corpses of many people, including his classmates and teachers, who were killed by Sukuna.

He also saw the Prison Realm, a cursed object that sealed Gojo inside. He was then approached by Choso, one of the Death Paintings, who claimed to be his brother. Choso explained that he felt a connection with Yuji because of the blood manipulation technique that they both inherited from their father, Noritoshi Kamo, a legendary sorcerer from the past. Choso decided to help Yuji escape from the scene, as he sensed that the other sorcerers would blame him for the incident.

Meanwhile, Megumi Fushiguro, another friend and fellow sorcerer of Yuji, was rescued by Sukuna, who had a special interest in him. Sukuna took Megumi to a safe place, where he met with Panda, a talking cursed corpse, and Kiyotaka Ijichi, a jujutsu assistant. They were relieved to see Megumi alive, but they were also shocked to see Sukuna’s presence.

Sukuna told them that he had a deal with Yuji, and that he would not harm them as long as they did not interfere with his plans. He then left Megumi’s body, and Yuji regained consciousness. He was happy to see Megumi, but he also felt guilty for what Sukuna did. He asked Megumi about Nanami, who was his mentor and a close friend of Megumi. Megumi did not answer, but his expression told Yuji the worst.

Plotline & Story

The episode then shifted to Kento Nanami, a former salaryman who became a sorcerer and a teacher of Yuji and Megumi. Nanami was severely wounded and delirious, wandering in the subway station. He encountered several transfigured humans, who were ordinary people turned into monsters by Mahito. He killed them with his cursed technique, which allowed him to create weak points on anything by dividing it into ratios. He then saw a vision of his old friend, Yu Haibara, who was also a sorcerer and a colleague of Nanami. Haibara had died in a previous mission, and he appeared to Nanami as a hallucination.

He told Nanami that he had done enough for the jujutsu world, and that he should rest. Nanami agreed, but he also said that he wanted to see Megumi grow up, as he saw him as a younger brother. He then pointed to Yuji, who had arrived at the scene with Choso. Nanami smiled and said to Yuji, “You’ve got it from here”. He then collapsed and died, leaving Yuji in shock and grief.

Maki tried to save her, but she was also overwhelmed by the enemies. Mahito said that he had used his cursed technique, Idle Transfiguration, to turn Nobara into a bomb, and that he had detonated her. He showed Yuji a piece of Nobara’s hair, implying that she was dead. Yuji was enraged by Mahito’s words, and he charged at him, ready to fight. The episode ended with a cliffhanger, leaving the viewers wondering about the outcome of the battle and the fate of Nobara.
